Presentation 1

Presentation 1 is on Thursday. Few things we all need to prepare, but we should be ok.

For Powerpoint: Nice cover pic with title, 1 art pic (builder?) and student names/numbers/roles
this cover pic can be used throughout presentation

Each person say a little about their role.
Firstly: Robert, like 10 SECONDS about the game idea, with 2-3 slides of concept art. Explain art. Not too long...keep it brief.

Secondly: Miya, plan for levels, how were going to make this game fun. Notes on things we are planning to implement. How things will work.

Thirdly: Artemis: talk about asset creation, things u wanna do with this game, where u want it to go, what we are all hoping to achieve?

Programmers:
I'm gonna leave this upto u. Talk amongst yourselves and assign tasks, you don't need me to do this for you. Think about what you would like to do in this game, where your strength is...and claim it! We need people for AI, UI/HUD/Menu, Skills, Ex2D stuff, puzzles in game

You guys don't need to talk much if u don't want to, BUT show that you have been doing something. Like sprite stuff that Rob was talking to you guys about. Just show that we are progressing a bit.

Ok now that the presentation is covered I will write some notes from last meeting. (Yes I know I left out some stuff in presentation, tell me if it's something crucial, but a few like sound I left out intentionally for now.)

note, the puzzles in game will probably be the hardest thing to code. So perhaps the person who does this only has one thing when the other 2 have 2 things.
The easiest will be UI/HUD/Menu and probably Ex2D stuff. You guys decide and let us know. If u need my help to assign roles tell me.

Artemis' game idea


1. Puzzle solve. like i create last semester, we decide our main player was in hell and he wake up, he don't know what happen to him, so he need to find his brain(member) back then he can get out the hell, we make few level of our game, but our programmer sick for  1 month and one designer didn't finish story and character, so it doesn't look good at last semester, but it still a good idea, this game ideas need a designer to design the whole game, we can use 2D background and 3D assets, we keep main camera horizontally. like Monkey Island.


2. We can create a playful game. i thinking about racing game, but i have no idea if we work with 6 people, how big will be game. So I think maybe in racing game, we can add some exciting element, we can make it not only racing, we can have mission, the police, destroy, or other element make it more play not just racing element.


3. I find not one create any iPhone or ipad game last semester, Christian also tell not no create any iPhone or ipad game, i think that will be a good idea, since we have 6 people, maybe we can try finish the game, that will be easy. If all of us want to build adventure game, maybe we can chose build one season first, like many iPhone/ipad game did, they create first 10-12 level or one season then they continue update new level. Or if we want to build RPG game, we can have one part story. Or we like to have a control game such as( Temple Run, check App store can find it), then we can whole systems complete.


4. I also think about other idea. I get easy game idea, maybe  we can develope it together. it's diffcult to explain, i can give the example, player control the main character, there will be BOSS and monsters, player need to destory the BOSS to get pass the level, but BOSS and monsters has different color, some monsters has same color with BOSS, some not. You have to destory different color monster, when you kill the monster as same color as Boss, there will be miss and it will appear more monster. that's basic idea, but we can make it more fun, like we put more color  in game, we give the order of color, player have to follow our order. Or we can have some help item which can help player destory the monster when it success kill one or two monsters, such as Pause(which can pause the time for few seconds,player can kill monster exactitude), or Color Mix( make few monster has same color with boss), etc. Or we can make different level environement, fire, water, ice, dirt, etc.

Greetings

Hi all, we have started this semester off fairly unorganized. This is because we have two new team members hence the plan has changed for the semester and I have needed to do some thinking. After careful consideration and support from existing team members, I have decided that I can find a way to accommodate work for our new big team. Welcome Artemis and Robert! Now to business, all of you need to be at our meeting this Thursday, where we shall make an absolute decision on what our game will be, and assign tasks. You all know this from my text message, but I am reiterating it. I would also like to let you all know the hours I will be at Uni per week. A few of you know that I work full time, but I will be at uni all day on Thursdays and Fridays working. Thursdays meetings we will all have to be at every week, though I will probably often need to meet with Artemis and Robert on some Fridays to work together if that suits you guys. With three artists we need to actually sit down and do work together, ask questions and communicate not only via Internet. Ok, so I have received a few game ideas from you guys already, you can post them here or I can post what you have sent me, either way we'll get it up here. Tomorrow I shall post mine also. This will be a challenging semester for us all, but one thing I guarantee you all is that if we follow the deadlines we set ourselves, we will make a quality game.
